hands-on defense training. R.A.D is not a martial Arts program. Our
courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. Instructors and
provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. This manual
outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and

students receive the support of a caring adult and the mentors receive
the satisfaction of helping students build personal confidence and
strategies to navigate the challenges of the teen years and success in
high school. The Bowie Prevention Network and the Teen Mentoring
Program have been helping teens at Bowie High School for more than

Center through Saturday, August 7. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 10
am-9 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 am-4 pm. Of her work, Ms. King Phillips

Telling my story through the art of collage is like breathing in and
breathing out, sending messages of enduring fortitude, hope and love.
My collages record a personal history of my people and of me growing up
and living and working in Washington DC. The collages are images in my

tap into our common humanity." This exhibition is FREE to visitors. For more
