Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department needs help locating an elderly man who was reported
missing from Laurel, Maryland.
On September 4, 2006, at approximately 4:00 p.m., 77-year-old James Henry Towler left his residence in the 8900 block Snow
Acres Drive. Investigators have been following several leads, but none have led to the return of Towler. On September 6, 2006,
a man fitting Towler’s description was spotted lying in the grass near Route 197 and Briarwood Drive around 5:00 p.m. Police
were unable to find the man, and Towler has not been seen or heard from since he left his residence. Family members said
Mr. Towler has Alzheimer’s and tends to wander.
Mr. Towler is described as a black male, 6’2” tall and weighs approximately 225 pounds. He was last seen wearing gray sweat
pants, a blue collar shirt and black tennis shoes.
