This office is responsible for coordinating all activities of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Volunteer Assistance Program (VAP).
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides a vital service to the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department. The program coordinates a wide range of mental health and counseling support functions for the members of the Department as well as their families and all retirees. These services help to ensure a healthy work force both physically and mentally.
The key to the success of this program is the dedication of the experienced staff and professional service the EAP provides employee/members in a confidential manner. Each participant receives a comprehensive assessment that guides interventions tailored to suit the needs of the individual.
