HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Eric Olson Dear Friends,

My staff and I wish you the very best during this holiday season and for the New Year.  It is a pleasure to serve the residents of District 3 and we are lucky to be able to work with such committed and caring community members to strengthen our neighborhoods.  Thank you for all you do throughout the year for our community. In this E-news, and in the holiday spirit, we wanted to share some opportunities for volunteering, and provide information for families or individuals in need.

We also wanted to highlight a number of events and activities that are happening to celebrate the season.  I know there are many activities occurring around our district, and I apologize in advance if we have not captured them all, but I hope you will find the listings below useful.

Finally, I want to encourage you to consider “buying local” during this season.  We have many local businesses owned and operated by people in our County, and by supporting local businesses, we maintain local jobs, support the area economy, and keep money in our community.

With so many local businesses, I hesitate to draw attention to any specific business, but there are a few unique businesses that are owned and operated by District 3 residents- Chef Lou , (who makes wonderful desserts!   Artists on the Avenue , (locally produced art and jewelry)  and Vertigo Books   - which if you haven’t had a chance to explore, I’d encourage you to check out.

My staff and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
