Snow and Ice Control

During a snow emergency, parking is prohibited along all designated snow emergency routes. Prince George's County Code Section 26-157.

During a snow emergency, parking is permitted only in driveways, or on the even-numbered side of the street. Prince George's County Code Section 26-157.01.

Failure to comply with either the even-numbered parking plan or parking along designated snow emergency routes can result in a fine up to $50 and/or towing. Prince George's County Code Section 26-157.01.

Snow Removal Truck Property owners must remove snow and ice from sidewalks along their property within 48 hours after precipitation has stopped. Failure to clear snow and ice from sidewalks can result in a $100 fine. Prince George's County Code section 23-150.
