Mission Statement
To improve the quality of life for every citizen by strengthening the economic capacity in the minority communities. Our goals toward this end are to promote the business interests of existing minority firms:
- To advocate equity in County and other private procurement matters;
- To serve as a resource in developing entrepreneurial capabilities in the minority communities; and to serve as a resource for non-minority firms aspiring to partner with minority firms.
VISION
The Minority Business Development Division (MBDD) will be a model minority business development program in the Nation, creating the opportunity for economic empowerment in Prince George’s County for minority business enterprises.
Being the agency charged under the County Law to serve the interests of the Minority Business Enterprises, MBDD is in the business of providing a service of value.
