Commercial Interior Use Case Types

Building Permit applications are to be completed online. Please go to Online Permit Applications; enter the information directly into the County’s Permitting System; and print three (3) copies of the computer-generated application prior to visiting the Permits Center. (Printers are NOT available onsite for customers.)


Work Descriptions


  • Work Description for CI: Additional Interior Space (with existing, valid Use and Occupancy); General Interior Work (with existing, valid Use and Occupancy); Indoor Pool; Interior Elevator; Racking/Rooftop Units
  • Work Description for CIW: General Interior Work (with existing, valid Use and Occupancy); Interior Demolition

CI: Not a Walk-Thru - Documents/Approvals Required


Submittal Requirements without a New Use and Occupancy:
  • Two Architectural Drawings - Original Signature and Sealed
  • Two Structural Drawings - Original Signature and Sealed (if applicable)
  • Two Electrical Drawings - Original Signature and Sealed (if applicable)
  • Two Mechanical Drawings - Original Signature and Sealed (if applicable)

CIW: Walk-Thru - Documents/Approvals Required


Requirements without a New Use and Occupancy:
  • Two Architectural Drawings - Original Signature and Sealed
  • Two Structural Drawings - Original Signature and Sealed (if applicable)
